Happy 30th Birthday Wes!!!

Wes went with his brothers the morning of his 30th Birthday and jumped off a bridge...
while attached to a bungee cord!

Our Big Girl

Emi had her dr. appointment yesterday and she had some surprising stats...She has been riding a perfect growth curve, since birth; weight - 50%, height - 75%, head - 75% (one 90% measurement).

Today -
Weight - 29lbs, 8oz - 90%
Height - 34 inches - 95%
Head - Can't remember measurement - 97%

Emi had a huge growth spurt while in Japan!!!

Cristin's Baby Shower

My wonderful friend Cristin is due with her first baby in 7 weeks and we celebrated her and her baby boy while I was home.  Mom let us use her home to host.
Yummy Food!
 Some ladies chatting :)
We played a fun game - a great idea from Mom.  Questions matched up with answers, which were candy bars.  For example, "Cristin will make a __________ when its time to go to the hospital." Answer? "Fast Break" If you match it up - you get that candy bar! Another favorite? Baby Pulak will soon have these in his diapers - answer?  Mounds :)
We all made bibs for Baby Pulak
 Sitting Cozy
 Cute baby cookies
 Thirsty?
We've been friends since middle school :)
 My sister-in-law, Tarrah
Emi was a crack-up.  She was super friendly and hilarious.  She loved the balloons.
 Emi tackling Auntie Laura

We got to experience the soon-to-be-real-thing as 2 week old Baby Bo joined the party!

This was my fav gift I got for her...Sneaker Socks
 The whole group

Lisa (friends since age 4), Bethany (friends since high school) and Cristin (friends since middle school).  Love these girls!!!

Happy kids and aunties
Laura...encouraging bad habits early :) Don't worry, it's lemonade.

Since we've been back...

Here's a few shots over our first foggy days home.  Kids adjusted pretty well, Eaton only up all night the first night.  Then, he was back on track.  Emi took three middle-of-the-night hang outs before sleeping through the night on Thursday.  We've been hanging low, seeing family and friends and getting adjusted to being back in the US!

We keep the kids' bikes at Wes' parent's house and they love to ride them.

Smores in the evening at Nana & Papa's

Nana and Papa's dollhouse - Santa brought it for the kids last year.
This cracked me up.  One time during a snowstorm in Olympia, we were Skyping with Carlyn's mom and dad.  Eaton asked if they would go outside and put a snowball in the freezer. She did.  So when we got back, Eaton got to play with a January (?) snowball in May!

1st time holding Baby Bo - Jammies and no make-up...classy :)
Eaton drank half a bowl of water through his glasses straw.
Having some fun with Daddy.  The kids have really missed their dad the last few weeks when he was working a ton in Japan.  We are all enjoying just hanging out together.
 Snacking with Emi
 Eaton and his great-grandma (long-amma)
 Coloring

Great-grandma (GG), Mackey and the kiddos
 Emi and Bo hanging out
The kids do this funny thing where they love to watch old cartoons with Carlyn's dad (papa).  Droopy, Tom & Jerry, Looney Tunes, Woody Woodpecker, etc.
 Emi stayed up too late...
Bo heading home for the night - look at those cheeks!

I'm Leaving, on a Jet Plane...

Our amazing friends picked us up in the morning and let us fill their cars with our tons of stuff.  We had a fun meal at Sbarros before catching the van to the airport.
It has been so fun to see these 2 grow into great friends.
 Jack was sad that day...
Some of the kids after lunch.  They all behaved really well.  Although they kept us busy enough that we didn't get a lot of adult chat time, we were still able to enjoy each other's company.
See - filled their cars right up!

 Saying goodbye :(

Maggie said, "Carlyn, where you going?"  "Can I come with you?"

All smiles getting into the van.
We drove by Tokyo Disneyland on the way to the airport
All our stuff
Having fun on the escalators

Our plane's here!
Happy on the plane

Eaton did awesome on the whole plane ride.  So proud of him.
We had a lovely trip angel in one of our flight attendants.  She upgraded the guy seated next to Wes, so that Emi could have her own seat.  Also made sure we got extra (kid friendly) food, blankets and such. She was awesome!

Made it to WA after about 9 hours.  Eaton slept about half of that time, Emi slept 3 hours. The both woke up as we landed SO excited that Nana and Papa were waiting inside the airport for them!
